An epiphany, of sorts.

Today, I had an epiphany. So I took some Pepto-Bismol and I felt better.

Then I had a moment of enlightenment.

I have two mirrorless cameras; an aps-C Fujifilm X-T1 and a full-frame Sony a7ii. I normally use the Fujifilm when we travel and the Sony for my vintage lenses.

About two weeks ago I decided to complicate my life. I purchased the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 for the Sony; yes, I am a Zeiss fan boy. It arrived in due time and failed to live up to my expectations. Back it went. Then I ordered the Sony 50mm f/1.8. Nope. Back it went.

Then it hit me: the lens that is best, sharpest and in general most wonderful, was already on the camera!

My Zeiss Planar 50mm f/1.4, manual focus is perfect. It is so sharp the moss looks 3D!

So much for trying to jam a square peg into a round hole!

Camera    : Sony a7ii
