A Fall photo walk with my friend

Gilson Park, Wilimette, Illinois

My friend Laura took me to a place I had not been since my youth; Gilson Beach in Wilmette, Illinois. It is perhaps fitting that the great photographer Edward Weston was born in nearby Highland Park.

However, on that day I channeled another favorite photographer, Minor White.

To quote Minor White: "The path my feet took was lined with images, whole gardens of pictures. With exposures I picked bouquets, each more vivid than the previous."*

Thanks Laura, for helping me clear my mind.
